In the event of a candidate proving to be unsuitable due to inadequate performance within 3 months of commencement, we shall recruit a suitable replacement. This will be at no additional consulting cost, however if advertising is required, this cost would be borne by our client.

The Selection Process

Considered by the market as the highest form of applicant sourcing, FIRMUS has taken the practice to the next level. Recruitment by stealth is critical to meeting client requirements in highly sensitive and/or applicant short info-security industry.

Unlike many recruitment firms who claim to undertake search, FIRMUS does not rely upon subjective networks most of which are incomplete, but undertakes a structured and rigorous survey of markets, revealing its participants and benchmarking them against their peers. Why rely upon the best person on a database, when you could potentially secure the best person in the market.

To this end we have perfected our approach which has seen us deliver outstanding results to our clients thereby exceeding expectations.

METHODOLOGY
1) Briefing and Definition of the Company and the Role

FIRMUS insists on taking the time to closely examine each client's culture believing this to be a major factor in success. It is only when we as Consultants fully understand the company, the role and the client's corporate culture, that we consider ourselves equipped to take action. To act in haste or without the full background is to invite a mismatched recruitment exercise.

Detailed and confidential discussions are conducted with the client contact and/or executives within the Client Company, after which, we fine-tune detailed specifications on both the role and the requirements for the "ideal" candidate. We will also start compiling a list of target organisations, and where applicable, a list of possible candidates already known to our client.

2) Research

The research phase is carried out by the Researcher in conjunction with the Lead Consultant, and with the back-up of the Support Consultant.

The first area addressed is the compilation of a list of target organisations. The second area addressed (and this tends to be ongoing throughout the course of the research process), is of sourcing contacts within the specified and associated industries. The third area, being the most significant, is of identifying and evaluating potential candidates in relation to the specific requirements. Again, this is an ongoing process.

Methods of accessing information are many and varied. Typically they will be:

1)
A systematic breakdown of organisations and their staff.
2) Interrogation of our own extensive internal databases, for candidates and sources already known to FIRMUS;
3) Assessment of our Consultants broad networks;
4) Use of external public Business Information Services;
5) Industry Sources;
6) Communication with our International Associates for potential candidates already known within our affiliations
3) Presentation of Report

At the conclusion of the bulk of the research phase, a report is prepared and presented by the Lead Consultant to our client in a meeting situation.

The report details focus and feedback to date, as a result of the research phase and covers specific companies targeted and executives who match an initial qualification criterion as regards the role. The main purpose of the report is as a focus and discussion document.

4) Approach and Assessment

Direct approaches commence to selected candidates, and the opportunity is presented in full to them. Discussion is entered and details of their background and experience are compared to the specification for the "ideal" candidate. Needless to say, an appropriate level of discretion is employed at this stage.

We will maintain high levels of confidentiality, and will not disclose our client until we are satisfied of the candidate's viability or as per 0ur client instructions.

5) Interviews
Candidates being assessed as most appropriate are invited to attend interviews with us, and as a result of this process, a shortlist of relevant candidates is prepared for presentation to the client.
6) Presentation of Shortlisted Candidates
Shortlists generally comprise 1-3 candidates. Usually the client interviews the shortlisted candidates alone, however if required by our client, the Lead Consultants will also be in attendance.
7) Client Interviews
We arrange interviews for shortlisted candidates to meet our client. This is usually at our client's premises, but can be in FIRMUS's office, or some other appropriate venue.
8) Progression
Our involvement at this stage is with both parties: with you, our client in discussing various attributes and qualities of candidates presented; and the candidates to help resolve any doubts, reservations or issues they may have. Our primary task at this stage is to maintain each candidate's interest in the role while the client progresses through the evaluation process.
9) Final Selection and Reference Checking
Once our client has selected a candidate, we carry out detailed career reference checks from at least one referee.
10) Negotiation
If required, we assist the client in negotiating the terms of employment prior to the formal written offer. We also counsel the Candidate on the formalities of resignation from current employment if required, particularly with regard to "preparation for counter offer". The primary objective is to assist with a smooth transition for all parties concerned.
11) Follow-up
During the first few months from commencement, we will maintain regular contact with both you and the candidate, and are generally available should any queries or issues arise.
Confidentiality ••

This is the cornerstone of our professional ethics and values, and we provide absolute assurance of retaining critical information to both clients and candidates. Original resumes are sent to our clients, complemented by our post-interview written report. We will always request permission to release information from all parties.

Original resumes are sent to our clients in a written report, developed by FIRMUS. This information is sent directly to the key contact and control of the confidentiality is stressed.
